Training by EBSCO Information Services at the Scientific Library

On February 24, 2026, a training workshop was held for subject librarians and faculty members, led personally by Alexander Rytov, the official representative of EBSCO.

During the event, participants explored the capabilities of EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), which integrates over 3.7 billion records from various sources and provides a unified interface for searching across all subscribed licensed databases of the Scientific Library of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

The speaker emphasized that EDS indexes metadata not only from EBSCO’s own resources but also from partner databases, including content from BASE, DOAB, DOAJ, and other major open-access academic information aggregators.

Such training sessions contribute to the professional growth of librarians, enhancing their competencies, practical skills, and the overall quality of information services.
