Results of the “KitapTime” Photo Contest

As part of the university’s 30th anniversary celebration, the Academic Library hosted the “KitapTime” (“Library in Focus”) photo contest.
The aim of the contest was to create a digital gallery reflecting the library’s everyday and academic life, its spaces and values, as well as to promote a culture of reading.
Participants submitted creative works portraying the modern image of the library, its unique atmosphere, environment and reader culture, the learning process, and library events.
Around fifty entries were submitted by university students. A competent jury consisting of Yerbol Yerdenbek, Head of the University Press Service, and Scientific Library staff members Balnur Tauekelova and Armanbek Zhakeikhan evaluated the submissions and selected the winners.
First Place — “Moment of Happiness”: Erlankyzy Ailana, a third-year student of the Institute of Digital Sciences and Artificial Intelligence. Second Place — “Peace of Mind”: Beishen Aidyn, a third-year student of the Faculty of Transport and Energy. Third Place — “A Book is a Source of Knowledge”: Muratova Assylym Armankyzy, a third-year student of the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences.
In the near future, the best and selected works will be displayed in the library lobby as a photo gallery.
