
A Master’s student of the Department of Political Science delivered an open lecture within the framework of pedagogical practice on the topic "Political PR as a Set of Methods and Tools"



On February 25, 2026, second-year Master’s student of the Department of Political Science, Rakhymzhan Adil Maratuly, delivered an open lecture for students of academic group B040-3106-23-01 as part of pedagogical practice on the topic “Political PR as a Set of Methods and Tools.”
During the session, various types of political advertising, mechanisms of emotional influence, and the impact of digital technologies (social media, targeted advertising, influencer communication) on voter behavior were analyzed. Students gained knowledge about audience segmentation in political communication, trust-building, and the effectiveness of information strategies. The lecture also examined the features of contemporary political communication, the importance of political PR in building public engagement, and the mechanisms through which political advertising shapes public opinion. In addition, issues related to image-building, agenda-setting, framing, and the use of digital platforms were discussed.
Students actively participated in discussions, shared their views on the ethical aspects of political advertising and its role in the modern information society. The open lecture was conducted in an interactive format and contributed to the development of students’ critical thinking skills and increased their interest in political communication.
