
An intellectual tournament dedicated to Myrzageldi Kemel’s legacy was held at ENU















As part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary, The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted an intellectual competition for students " Myrzagel Kemel Experience: Thought, Area, Civilization".
The main purpose of the event is the formation of students' spiritual and moral values through the format of intellectual and cognitive games, the development of critical and philosophical thinking, as well as the improvement of leadership skills and a culture of reasoning.
The ideological basis of the competition was the works of the statesman and public figure, scientist Myrzageldi Kemel. Special attention was paid to his books "Abzaldyk Alippesi" and "Oyshyl", as well as the author's life and professional path, which became an example of service to society and science.
The intellectual competition was held in a team format among 1-3-year students of all faculties and graduate schools of the university. Each team consisted of two or three participants. Along with this, mixed teams brought together students of different courses, which gave the competition additional dynamics and allowed the participants to demonstrate a broad outlook and a high level of logical thinking.
According to the results of the competition, the team "Karzhyger" took the first place, "Orkeniyet Parasaty" – was the second, and the teams "Oh Kemelderi" and "Samga" were awarded the third place. The winners were awarded special prizes from the university and the scientist's family.
The honorary guests of the event were Myrzageldi Kemel’s wife Ziba Apai and his son Bakhytzhan Myrzageldiuly, who addressed the participants with warm words of farewell.
The event also received support from the university administration. Welcoming remarks were made by Associate Professor Zhanna Nurmanova, Head of the Management Department of the Graduate School of Economics and Tourism Yerkezhan Moldakenova, Professor Bauyrzhan Tolysbayev. They stressed the importance of such initiatives for the intellectual and personal development of young people.
"Our task is not just to test students' knowledge, but to promote the development of their thinking, spiritual orientations and personal qualities. Myrzageldi Kemel's works are a true school of values for the younger generation. Such events help to form critical thinking and strengthen the leadership potential of students," Yerkezhan Moldakenova noted.
The intellectual tournament, which was held at a high organizational level, became an important platform for unlocking the potential of students, strengthening their interest in spiritual values and further developing intellectual culture.
