
Professor of the Department of Oriental Studies, Faculty of International Relations, Ilyassova Kulpash Myrzamuratovna delivered an open lecture for first-year master’s students on the topic “Economic Modernization of the Countries of Southeast Asia.”





Ilyassova Kulpash Myrzamuratovna, Professor of the Department of Oriental Studies at the Faculty of International Relations of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, conducted an open lesson for 1st-year undergraduates on the topic "Economic modernization of Southeast Asian countries". During the lesson, the specifics of the regional economic development of Southeast Asian countries, the location in this region of such states as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, which are part of the newly industrialized countries, the role of the ASEAN organization in the process of economic modernization, the main factors of the 1997-1998 Asian financial crisis, economic reforms in the region, They also discussed the digital economy, startups and IT, the development of international trade and logistics at the current stage of economic modernization of the Southeast Asian countries. Undergraduates took an active part in defining research topics on these issues. Scientific concepts related to the economic modernization of the Southeast Asian countries were also analyzed. This form of study contributed to the development of critical thinking and the improvement of economic knowledge.
