ENU presented the educational and methodological manual «Oqu Sauattylygy»

A presentation ceremony of the instructional and methodological manual «Oqu Sauattylygy» for students of the pre-university (Foundation) program was held, organized by the Foundation Department.
The event was opened by Alibek Zhurqadam, Vice President of the NJSC «Otandastar Qory», who emphasized the relevance of the manual for international and ethnic Kazakh students enrolled in the preparatory program. A congratulatory address was delivered by Gulnaz Kasbayeva, Deputy Dean for Research of the Faculty of Philology, who noted that the publication contributes to improving applicants’ functional literacy, facilitating their adaptation to university studies, and supporting the continuation of their educational trajectory.
The author of the manual, Amangul Adilbek – Candidate of Philological Sciences, lecturer of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language and the Foundation Department – presented the content and structure of the publication. As part of the ceremony, a symbolic ribbon-cutting took place with the participation of guests and the authors.
During the event, remarks were also delivered by Botagoz Paratkhan, expert of the Department of International Relations; Altynai Ashenova, lecturer of the Foundation Department; and A. Zhanpeis, a preparatory program student. They expressed gratitude to the authors and highlighted that the manual is a relevant and востребованный (high-demand) publication for preparatory-program applicants.
The «Oqu Sauattylygy» instructional and methodological manual is designed to prepare preparatory-program students for comprehensive entrance testing and for effective mastery of major subjects within a limited timeframe. Such instructional publications enable students to systematize their knowledge in a short period and prepare effectively for admission to higher education institutions. This aligns with Kazakhstan’s state policy aimed at increasing the number of international students in its higher education system.
In particular, graduates of the Foundation Department consistently achieve strong results in the Unified National Testing (UNT) and scholarship programs: more than 70% are admitted to our university each year. The Foundation Department continues its work to create accessible pathways to higher education for international applicants, expand the international student body, and implement initiatives supporting Kazakhs abroad.
