"Koktem Sezim" concert dedicated to the International Women's Day was held in ENU

On the eve of March 8, The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted a musical and poetic event called "Koktem Sezim", which became a real declaration of love to women - mothers, daughters, keepers of the family hearth. The author and main performer of the program was Kenzhegali Myrzhykbai, Honored Performer of the Republic of Kazakhstan, State Prize winner, Professor of Art History, head of ENU’s cultural and educational association "Kausar".
The guests of the gala event included: Rector of the University, Yerlan Sydykov, vice-rectors, staff of departments, faculty and students.
The concert started with the song of the king of the Kazakh waltz Shamshi Kaldayakov "Keshikpey kelem dep en". From the first chords, the hall was filled with an atmosphere of light nostalgia and spring lyrics. This evening, the works included in the golden fund of Kazakh pop music were played from the stage - heartfelt, sincere, filled with deep feelings.
The performance of the famous song "Kusni Korlan" by the outstanding composer and singer Yestai Berkimbayev caused particular excitement in the hall. Lyrical works about a mother, a woman, about purity and devotion of feelings found a lively response in the hearts of listeners.
The concert program was characterized by genre and stylistic diversity. Along with Kazakh classics, works by Russian composers, foreign romances and samples of the world musical tradition were performed. With special warmth, the performer presented the works of outstanding masters of Kazakh professional music - Akhmet Zhubanov, Sydyk Mukhamedzhanov and Abilakhat Espayev. Their deep, melodic compositions gave the event a special artistic integrity.
The audience greeted each performance with prolonged applause. The performer was presented with flowers, expressing gratitude for his sincerity and high skill. The concert became a bright decoration of the university's festive program and gave the guests an atmosphere of warmth and spring inspiration.
Among the guests of honor was poet Serik Turgynbek, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday and presented his autographed book to the performer. Veteran journalist Galiya Baltabayeva shared her impressions, noting that such meetings enrich young people spiritually and help form a harmonious personality - the very "holistic person" that Abai wrote about.
It is symbolic that the concert began with the song "Keshikpey kelem dep en" and ended with the work of Shamshi Kaldayakov "Anim sen yedin", which gave the evening a special completeness and deep spiritual meaning, leaving a bright spring aftertaste in the hearts of the listeners.
