The master's student of the educational program "Ethnopolitology" conducted a curatorial hour on the topic "Social activity and health"

On March 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM, as part of her teaching internship, Zhanna Gazizulina, a second-year master's student in the Ethnopolitical Science program, held a mentoring hour for third-, second-, and fourth-year students majoring in Political Science on the topic of "Social Engagement and Health." Present at the event were G.B. Askeyeva and M.Yu. Onuchko, mentors from the Political Science Department of the Faculty of International Relations.
During the meeting, participants discussed the interconnection between social activity and the preservation of physical and mental health in the era of active use of social networks, artificial intelligence technologies, and digital content in everyday life.
Engaging discussions were held on the role of volunteerism, social communication in society, and the expression of empathy in the successful socialization of individuals, as well as the importance of the ability to engage in proper reflection, including responses to negative manifestations of social activity from various social groups.
The discussion also highlighted the relationship between such processes as reading literature and listening to complex music and their influence on the development of neural connections and intellectual capacity.
Students shared their personal volunteering experiences and emphasized that demonstrating empathy, mutual assistance, and support enhances mood, builds confidence, and encourages individuals to express their best qualities.
The event was aimed at fostering an understanding of the necessity and significance of social activity that combines an active civic position with empathy and independence. It also underscored the role of higher education institutions in strengthening youth social engagement in the context of the gradual erosion of moral and value-based guidelines and the prevalence of clip thinking among modern youth.
