
ENU held "Youth of the Capital - For Law and Order" forum













The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted the forum "Youth of the Capital - FOR LAW and Order", organized by the Astana Police Department within the framework of the "Law and Order" concept.
The main purpose of the event is to increase the legal literacy of young people, prevent offenses, and protect young people from threats such as cybercrime and drug crimes.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Astana Police Department. They talked about the formation of zero tolerance for stalking, preventing the involvement of young people in cybercrime, the importance of legal culture and measures to prevent offenses. Special attention was also paid to the role and responsibility of youth in society.
"The Astana Police Department conducts systematic work on the prevention of offenses among young people and the formation of legal awareness. Since the beginning of the year, the Metropolitan Police has conducted more than 800 preventive measures.
Our main goal is not only to respond to crimes, but above all to prevent them. The police should be together with society: timely warn, protect and help young people make the right choice," Abil Abildin, First Deputy Head of the Astana Police Department said.
Special guests of the forum were the winners of the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026 international competitions - employees of the Special Rapid Response Unit (SRRU) of the Astana Police Department. Police Lieutenant Colonel, captain of the women's national team Ainagul Bayzhigitova, police majors Moldir Atanai and Yeldos Sartai told the students about their service, their experience of participating in international competitions, as well as the importance of discipline and patriotism.
During the event, the soldiers of the special unit conducted a master class in self-defense and demonstrated to the students the basic techniques of personal security. In addition, modern technologies used to ensure public safety were presented. The participants saw the possibilities of intelligent video surveillance systems and got acquainted with innovative developments used in police practice, including a new technological tool - a "robot dog".
At the end of the forum, a Q&A session was held with students.
