Reports on Teaching Practice of Students of the Educational Program “6B05209 – Geography” Were Successfully Defended

On March 6, 2026, the Department of Physical and Economic Geography at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University held the defense of teaching practice reports by 4th-year students of the educational program “6B05209 – Geography.”

The commission reviewing the reports included Head of the Department K.M. Saginov, Associate Professor A.A. Zhanguzhina, Associate Professor A.E. Eginbayeva, and Senior Lecturer E.K. Shulgaubayev.

Teaching practice is an essential part of the educational process. It is aimed at consolidating theoretical knowledge acquired during study, familiarizing students with the work of educational institutions, and developing the practical competencies and professional skills required of future teachers. The practice took place from January 19 to February 28, 2026, in accordance with the academic calendar and Rector’s Order No. 35-C.

During the defense, students presented the results of their practice carried out at School-Lyceum No. 37 named after Syrbai Maulenov, School-Gymnasium No. 22 in Astana, and School-Gymnasium No. 174 in Almaty.

Throughout the practice period, students prepared lesson plans, taught geography lessons in grades 8–11, analyzed lessons, and organized extracurricular activities. The commission noted the high level of student preparation, the informative quality of the submitted reports, and the students’ ability to draw well-grounded conclusions based on their practical experience.
