
Qosh keldiŋ, àz Nauryz!

On March 16, 2026, senior lecturers of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language and leaders of the «Kazakh Language» Club, D.S. Ilyasova and S.K. Berdibayev, organized and held a festive educational event entitled «Qosh keldiŋ, àz Nauryz!».
The event was attended by first-year students as well as international students. The main objective of the event was to promote the national values, traditions, and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, as well as to introduce students to the historical and spiritual significance of the Nauryz holiday. The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Head of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor K.S. Kulmanov.
Students of group SHT-04, Kamila Rakhimova and Tahmina Musa, delivered a presentation on how the Nauryz holiday is celebrated among Turkic peoples. Student Ayauzhan Tursynbek performed the song «Balapan Kaz» on the traditional instrument saz-syrnai, impressing the audience with her performance.
The event continued with an interactive game «Think and Find», which included interesting facts and information about the Nauryz holiday. Student of group PGS-12, Dimash Zheksenbay, performed the traditional kui «Alqissa», which was warmly received by the participants.
In addition, students wrote their festive wishes on cup-shaped cards and placed them on a symbolic festive dastarkhan displayed on the smart board.
At the end of the event, Beksultan Ussenov delivered a traditional blessing (bata). The celebration concluded with the traditional shashu ceremony, followed by all participants singing together «Kutty bolsyn, àz-Nauryz!» by Bota Beisenova.
The event demonstrated that Nauryz is a great celebration that honors the national traditions and moral values that have been formed and preserved over centuries.
