
Nauryznama-2026: A family relay race "Konildi start - 2026" was held at ENU

The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted a family sports relay race "Konildi Start - 2026", dedicated to the Nauryznama decade and Shanyrak Day, which is celebrated on March 17.
The event was organized by the Youth Policy Department of Astana and ENU’s Graduate School of Education. The relay race was aimed at strengthening family values, developing a healthy lifestyle culture and promoting active leisure activities among young families.
The competition was attended by teams formed from young families under the age of 35. The program included four stages, where participants demonstrated agility, speed and teamwork in disciplines such as darts, running, jumping and assik ata.
The director of the ENU’s Graduate School of Education, Baubek Somzhurek, delivered a welcoming speech. He noted that such initiatives contribute not only to the development of physical activity, but also strengthen mutual understanding and cohesion in families.
"Family is a small state, and its strength depends primarily on respect and unity. Through such initiatives, we increase the importance of the institution of the family in society and promote a healthy lifestyle. It is a great pleasure for us to see the active participation of colleagues along with their families. This shows the unity of the university staff and respect for common values. I am sure that such significant events will be continued in the future," he stressed.
The participants’ performances were evaluated by representatives of government agencies, public associations and the expert community. The jury consisted of: Head of the Youth Policy Department, G. Samat Ibrayev, deputy of the Maslikhat of Astana Nurzhan Sadyrbayev, excellent student of the information sphere, adviser to the Minister of Trade and Integration Asselim Abildinova, Chairman of the capital branch of the NGO "Union of Fathers" Kuzembai Bekdayyr, President of the NGO "Kazakhstan Federation of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics" Madina Bekturganova, director of the medical center "Di Medical" Clara Umirzakova, as well as director of ENU’s Graduate School of Education Baubek Somzhurek.
Following the results of the competition, the winners were awarded with cash prizes.:
I place – 200,000 KZT:
Gabi Akhnazarov, a sound engineer of the Film, Video and Sound Services Office, R. Baglanova State Concert Organization "KAZAKCONCERT";
Ulzhalgas Topbasy, a teacher of the D. Kunayev Lyceum School No. 66.
II place – 150,000 KZT:
Victor Grigoriyev, a driver;
Anastasia Grigoriyeva, an educator.
III place – 100,000 KZT:
Syrym Mukhanbetzhanov, an employee of the banking sector;
Anara Mukhanbetzhanova, on maternity leave.
In addition, 12 families who showed activity and involvement were awarded with certificates in the amount of 20,000 KZT.
