From Learning to Inspiration: A New Initiative of the Silver University at ENU

Following the completion of the course «Fundamentals of Model Walking for Older Women» at the Silver University, a wonderful initiative emerged — the creation of the Defile Club.
The course monitor, Nagima Kisyikova, предложила участницам представить своё творчество на одном из праздничных мероприятий. The first debut took place during the Nauryz celebration, where the audience warmly welcomed the participants and showed great interest.
Confident and courageous models proudly demonstrated the skills of model walking they had acquired during the course. The lecturer, Zhanneta Zhalmukhamedova — a former преподаватель of the Department of Systems Analysis and Management at ENU, now retired — is also the chairperson of the NGO “Kumis Volunteers” and a member of the 65+ modeling group “Kerbez Models,” which has represented Kazakhstan at international fashion shows in Italy, Germany, the UAE, France, CIS countries, and various cities across the country. She shared her extensive experience and inspired the participants to establish the club.
Grateful learners are determined and enthusiastic about joining the ranks of mature fashion enthusiasts in the country, continuing to grow, раскрывать свой потенциал, and confidently move forward.
Creating conditions for accessible and high-quality lifelong learning for people of all ages — aimed at personal development, enhancement of cognitive abilities, competency building, professional growth, and improving quality of life — remains one of the key priorities of the Institute of Continuing Education.
