
Nauryznama-2026: A Yurt-Making Workshop Was Held at ENU















As part of the Nauryznam Decade at ENU, a master class on making gypsum yurts was held on March 18, 2026, in the Kultegin Atrium. The event was organized under the guidance of Fatima Akberdi, an employee of the Social Projects Department of the Department of Social and Civic Development.
The event has been held for the fourth year in a row and has become a true tradition.
The main goal of the master class is to continue the socialization process and develop individual qualities such as social maturity, social responsibility, and life competence.
The festive event was opened by Tilep Zhambyl, Director of the Department of Social and Civic Development, who spoke about the importance of national character in the distinctive creativity of nomadic peoples, and how only through participation and engagement can one acquire and understand spiritual values, interest, and love for national culture.
The event was sponsored by Mubäräk Saule, Director of SociumPita LLC. Congratulating the students and staff of the university on the occasion, she spoke about the benefits of crafts, the revival, preservation, and study of decorative and applied arts, and the need for today's youth to continue the creativity and crafts of their ancestors.
The students enthusiastically participated in this exciting event.
At the end of the workshop, all participants took photos with their handmade crafts.
