
Nauryznama-2026: aitys of young akyns took place at ENU

The competition of young akyns "Nauryz aitys" took place at The L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University within the framework of Nauryznama decade.
The event was attended by 14 young poets from the capital’s universities, who demonstrated their mastery of national art. The project was led by the famous poet, prominent scientist, Dean of ENU’s Faculty of Philology Serikzat Duisengazy, and the aitys was conducted by the popular and talented presenter Tursynbek Ulan.
ENU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbai and Head of the Languages Development and Archival Affairs Department of Astana Saken Yesirkep delivered welcoming speeches. They noted the importance and spiritual value of aitys and wished the participants success.
"Today's competition is aimed at reviving national art, popularizing Kazakh aitys among young people and developing the improvisational abilities of young akyns and is held within the framework of Nauryznama decade," Vice-Rector said.
The jury consisted of well-known experts: Sultankhan Meyirbek, Abdigani Bazilkhanuly, Iran-Gayip Kuzembayev, Omirzhan Kopbosyn, Kabiden Kuanyshbayuly. They evaluated the participants according to a number of criteria: erudition, sharpness of thought, disclosure of the topic, the ability to improvise and give a decent answer to the opponent, stage culture and mastery of the word.
Young actors Bayzhigit Beibit, Mukhtar Konarbai, Yerasyl Seitzhanuly, Yerasyl Baymentayev, Mukhamedali Abdullayev, Nazar Misalbek, Aiganym Balgabayeva, Ibragim Kazbek, Ayan Kuanysh, Nurtileu Tulenbek, Marsel Yersaiynov, Yerkebulan Zhalgasbai, Tamasha Rakhat, Rinat Kozhamuratov performed on the stage.
Summing up, the organizers noted that it is necessary to continue searching for new forms of popularization of national values among young people, while preserving the traditional spirit of aitys and giving it a modern sound.
At the end of the event, the famous poet, Dean of the Faculty of Philology Serikzat Duisengazy presented diplomas and memorable gifts to the participants.
So, according to the results of Nauryz Aitys, the jury decided: Yerasyl Seitzhanuly, Rakhat Tamasha and Aiganym Balgabayeva shared the third place, Nurtileu Tolenbek and Rinat Kozhamurat took the second place, Beibit Bayzhigit took the first place, and Mukhtar Konarbai won the Grand Prix.
