Nauryznama–2026: A Creative Fashion Show and Charity Fair Brought Together Students and Faculty

To celebrate the bright spring holiday, the Department of Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Philology held a memorable event that brought teachers and students together in an atmosphere of creativity, kindness and national traditions.
Honorary guests at the event included Lyazzat Tolegenkyzy, Vice-Rector for Social and Infrastructural Development and member of the Board; Gulnaz Kasbayeva, Deputy Dean for Research at the Faculty of Philology; Aknur Toleubayeva, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs; Aisulu Akisheva, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs; Kuandyk Kulmanov, Head of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language; Anna Esengalieva, Associate Professor at the Faculty of International Relations; and Arailym Nurzhigitova, member of the Union of Ethnodesigners of Kazakhstan.
The holiday began with an original fashion show featuring decorations in the Kazakh national style. The collection was designed by Aigul Kassenova, a senior lecturer at the department and a member of the Kazakh Ethno-Design Union, who conveyed the beauty and symbolism of Kazakh ornaments through modern design solutions. Teachers and students took part in the show, demonstrating the elegance of the decorations and a deep respect for the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. Each piece was unique, exquisitely crafted, and combined tradition with modernity in perfect harmony.
The charity fair, which took place as part of the event, attracted the guests' special attention. A variety of handmade products created by students and teachers were presented here, including jewellery, souvenirs and decorative items. Guests could also purchase homemade cakes and traditional snacks, prepared with warmth and soul.
The fair took place in a lively and friendly atmosphere where people could purchase their favourite products and contribute to a good cause. All proceeds will be donated to charity, making this an important and significant part of the event.
The Nauryz holiday organised by the Department of Foreign Languages has become a cultural event that symbolises unity, generosity and mutual assistance. The celebration reminded all participants of the importance of preserving traditions, developing creativity, and striving to make the world a better place.
