
At L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, from March 11 to 13, 2026, an external expert panel of FIBAA (Germany) conducted an international accreditation review of the educational programs “6B04121 – State Audit,” “7M04120 – State Audit,” and “8D04121 – State Audit,” implemented by the Department of State Audit of the Higher School of Economics and Tourism.















At the Department of State Audit of the Higher School of Economics and Tourism at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the external expert group of FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation, Germany) conducted an accreditation review of the educational programs “6B04121 – State Audit”, “7M04120 – State Audit”, and “8D04121 – State Audit” from March 11 to 13, 2026.
During the meeting, the program leaders of “6B04121 – State Audit”, “7M04120 – State Audit”, and “8D04121 – State Audit”, along with the Head of the Department of State Audit, PhD in Philosophy, Saule Spataeva, and PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor Madina Serikova, presented the content and development directions of the programs. During the interviews with the experts, topics such as interaction with the labor market and the education system, internationalization, curriculum structure, graduate employability, exam organization, teaching methods, student support, inclusive education, program management, and research activities were discussed in detail.
The external expert group also met with the faculty of the Department of State Audit: Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD equivalent), Professor Balshker Alibekova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Sapiya Tajikenova, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Lyazzat Sembieva, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor Aliya Shakharova, and senior lecturer PhD in Philosophy, Aigul Alibekova. The discussions focused on program content, teaching methodologies, student support, didactic approaches, faculty development, internal collaboration, and exchange of experience.
The project coordinator on behalf of FIBAA was Marie Bilke. The international expert group included scholars from leading universities in Europe and Kazakhstan: Professor Andreas Grüner (University of St. Gallen), Professor Stefan Veit (Bremen University of Applied Sciences), Professor Bibiana Grassinger (IU International University of Applied Sciences), Associate Professor Dovilė Gailiūtė-Janusonė (Mykolas Romeris University), Professor Ruta Petrauskene (Kaunas University of Technology), Professor Joel Branson (Free University of Brussels), Zhanibek Aryn (representative of Nazarbayev University), as well as representatives of students, alumni, and employers.
Among the alumni who actively participated in the meetings with FIBAA experts were Abraham Zetov, Chief Expert of the LLP “Center for Research, Analysis and Evaluation of Efficiency” under the Supreme Audit Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, graduate of 2020; Damira Zhamieva, graduate of 2022 of the “7M04120 – State Audit” program, Chief Expert of the Department of Planning, Certification, and Methodology of the Supreme Audit Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Arman Bekturova, graduate of 2023 of the “8D04121 – State Audit” program, Deputy Executive Director for Economics and Finance at Qazaqgaz Aimaq JSC.
Among the employer-partners who actively participated in discussions on the improvement of educational programs with FIBAA experts were Murat Orazbay, Head of the Department of Internal State Audit in Astana, Committee of Internal State Audit, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Dainara Tleubergenova, Head of the Healthcare Management Division, Department of Audit of the Quasi-Public Sector, Supreme Audit Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Zamzagul Zhanybaeva, Head of the Research and Forecasting Department, Center for Research, Analysis and Evaluation of Efficiency, Supreme Audit Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The organization of the expert review was ensured by the Higher School of Economics and Tourism, the Accreditation and Ranking Department, as well as technical and infrastructure services.
The meeting made it possible to assess the compliance of the educational programs with international standards and identify directions for their further improvement.
