“With Respect for Our Traditions!” — An Event Dedicated to the Nauryz Holiday
Nauryz is a special holiday symbolizing renewal and rebirth that comes with the arrival of spring. On this occasion, the library organized an educational competition titled “With Respect for Our Traditions!”
The main goal of the event was to promote the traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, popularize national values, encourage the creative initiative of library staff, and foster effective teamwork.
At the opening of the event, the head of the library, Orazaliev Bakhytzhan Assetdildauly, addressed the participants with congratulations on the holiday. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of national traditions in society and noted that such educational events contribute to the development of spiritual values within the team.
Three teams participated in the competition: “Shanyrak,” “Bereke,” and “Dastur.” Each team consisted of five staff members. The participants’ level of knowledge and creative abilities were comprehensively evaluated by the jury.
The competition consisted of several stages. During the introduction stage, the teams presented their names and mottos, demonstrating unity and preparedness. In the next stage, using the Quizizz platform, participants answered test questions on traditions, which allowed their theoretical knowledge to be assessed.
In the proverbs and sayings contest, participants demonstrated their knowledge, resourcefulness, and quick thinking. The “Recognize the Tradition” stage became a key part of the event. Through theatrical performances, participants presented significant traditions of the Kazakh people — “Besikke salu,” “Tusau kesu,” and “Betashar” — in detail, revealing their meaning and educational significance. During the performances, national characteristics and the continuity of traditions were vividly displayed.
The jury noted the high level of preparation, active participation, and creative approach of all teams. Each team was awarded special prizes, and gratitude was expressed to all participants for their active involvement.
The event aimed to promote national cultural heritage, revive traditions, and strengthen team unity. It contributes to the spiritual development of staff and undoubtedly has a positive impact on professional growth.
Congratulations to everyone on the Nauryz holiday!
