
Ulttyq Mura: Harmony of Tradition and Spirit















On the eve of the Nauryz holiday, the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences organized a national sports competition titled “Ulttyq Mura” (National Heritage).
Students from six departments actively participated in the event, demonstrating agility, strength, endurance, and a strong desire to win through traditional Kazakh games. The atmosphere of the competition was filled with a spirit of rivalry, mutual support, and genuine enthusiasm.
The participating teams included:
- «Kok Bori» - Department of Philosophy,
- «Aydahar» - Department of Religious Studies,
- «Nauryz Kyrandary» - Department of Psychology,
- «Samruk» - Department of Media Communications and Public Relations,
- «Phoenix» - Department of Sociology,
- «Onerli Media2 - Department of Journalism and Media Arts.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Director of the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences, N. Kuantayev, who wished the participants success. The fairness and transparency of the judging were ensured by R. Salikzhanov, an international triathlon judge and multiple-time “Ironman” champion (2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023).
Participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, unity, and true team spirit, turning the competition into an exciting and engaging event.
The program included competitions in togyzqumalaq, asyk shooting, tug of war, darts, as well as an intellectual contest dedicated to the traditions of Nauryz. Each stage allowed participants to showcase their abilities, demonstrate strategic thinking, and подарил the audience bright and unforgettable emotions.
The «Ulttyq Mura» competition became an important initiative aimed at promoting national culture and reviving traditional values. It not only increased young people’s interest in cultural heritage but also contributed to strengthening unity, friendship, and mutual respect among students.
On this day, the Nauryz celebration gained special significance as a symbol of renewal, continuity of generations, and preservation of rich cultural heritage. For the audience, the event became truly memorable, filled with vivid emotions and exciting moments.
