Self-Discovery Through Ethnoculture: ENU Presents the «Tektanu» Approach and Explores the Phenomenon of Passionarity

At L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, an author’s lecture by ethnoculture expert Aliya Sagimbayeva was held at the initiative of Ombudsperson Nelya Shapekova. The lecture was titled «Tektanu: An Ethnocultural Approach to Self-Discovery and Personal Development».
The main goal of the event was to expand knowledge, strengthen corporate spirit, enhance motivation, and provide practical guidance for personal transformation. Participants received answers to pressing questions on how to overcome life challenges, build harmonious relationships, and confidently navigate social environments.
During the lecture, the speaker introduced an ethnocultural approach that integrates modern psychotechnologies, genealogy, and the traditions of the Kazakh and Turkic world. Key topics included the formation of life scenarios, the reasons behind recurring difficulties in family, work, and communication, as well as tools for increasing resilience, motivation, and inner support. Special attention was given to the practical application of the method in both everyday and professional life.
Symbolically, the event took place at the museum of Lev Nikolayevich Gumilyov, the author of the theory of passionarity. The atmosphere of the space, rich with historical meaning and ideas about the inner energy of peoples, added depth and symbolism to the discussion. It enabled participants to reflect on passionarity as a driving force behind both individual and societal development, closely linked to ancestral energy and the pursuit of growth and transformation.
Note: Passionarity is a concept introduced by Lev Nikolayevich Gumilyov, referring to the inner energy of an individual or a people that drives action, creativity, and the transformation of the surrounding world.
