Academic Mobility of Crisis Psychology Master’s Students at Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland)

Within the framework of the academic mobility program, second-year master’s students of the “7M03110 – Crisis Psychology” program, Zhanna Aukhatova and Akpatsha Azamatova, studied at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, from September 29 to February 2.
At the host university, they studied Neuroscience, Eye-tracking, and the Advanced Seminar “Developmental Assessment – A Cultural-Historical View.”
The Neuroscience course focused on the structure of the brain, its functional organization, and the influence of neurobiological processes on human behavior and cognitive functions.
As part of the Eye-tracking course, the students worked with equipment that tracks eye movements. They conducted group research projects aimed at studying visual perception, attention, and information processing. This hands-on experience provided valuable skills in conducting experimental research.
Special attention was given to the cultural-historical theory of development by L.S. Vygotsky, which helped deepen the understanding of the formation of thinking, speech, and behavior in a sociocultural context.
The academic mobility program became an important stage in the students’ professional and academic development. Studying in an international environment allowed them to expand their knowledge, gain practical skills, and strengthen intercultural competencies.
The experience gained was highly appreciated by the participants and made a significant contribution to their future academic and professional careers.
