
Research Seminar on “A Cross-Disciplinary Approach in Design”

Within the framework of Science Day, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of L.N. Gumilyov ENU, a research seminar on “A Cross-Disciplinary Approach in Design” was held on April 3 at the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
The seminar was organized by Botagoz Tulegenovna Nurmukhambetova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Design and Engineering Graphics. During the seminar, issues related to the integration of educational programs in the fields of design, architecture, construction, and ethnology were discussed. The results of an analysis of academic disciplines across various departments of the faculty were also presented. Special attention was given to the development of interdisciplinary interaction areas that integrate project-based, scientific, and practical training of master’s students.
Additionally, prospects for developing integrated academic disciplines aimed at enhancing project-based learning, teamwork, and research competencies were outlined.
The event was attended by the faculty members of the department as well as master’s students enrolled in the faculty’s educational programs.
