
Second-year doctoral and master’s students successfully completed their research internships







From January 19 to March 28, 2026, second-year doctoral students of the educational programs “International Relations,” “Turkology,” “Regional Studies,” “Political Science,” and “Diplomacy and Management in Ethnopolitics,” as well as from January 5 to March 28, 2026, second-year master’s students of the educational programs “International Relations” and “Philology: Turkic Languages,” successfully completed their research internships.
The internship bases included the “Institute for Foreign Policy Studies” under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the “Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies” under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Research Center “Youth,” “Kazakh Invest,” as well as the departments of “International Relations,” “Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan,” “Turkology,” “Political Science,” and others.
Upon completion of the internship, defenses of research practice reports by doctoral and master’s students were held. The defense sessions were attended by members of the commission, department coordinators responsible for internships, academic supervisors, and second-year doctoral and master’s students.
During the final defense, students presented reports on the work completed during the internship period, shared their experiences, and emphasized the development of research skills, deepening of theoretical knowledge, and their practical application within the framework of their dissertation topics.
As noted by doctoral and master’s students in their presentations, the internship proved to be beneficial for both professional and personal development. It also enabled them to accomplish the following tasks: studying scientific literature on the research topic, analyzing modern methods and approaches, preparing scientific articles, and continuing work on their dissertations.
During the defense, it was noted that doctoral and master’s students fully completed the research internship program, demonstrated a sufficient level of professional competencies, and successfully defended their reports.
