Scientific Seminar on Publishing Research Results in International Databases

On April 7, 2026, at 12:00, a scientific seminar was held on the topic: “Publishing research results in journals indexed in international databases Web of Science and Scopus.” The seminar was conducted by PhD, Professor, and researcher-lecturer of the Department of Management, Nurlan Aidildaevich Kurmanov. During the event, key issues related to the preparation and publication of scientific articles were discussed, including:

• the structure of a scientific article and the requirements of international journals;
• the use of academic and scientific vocabulary;
• criteria for selecting a journal for publication;
• specifics of the publication process in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. The seminar was held online via the Microsoft Teams platform. More than 50 participants attended the seminar, including doctoral students in economics, as well as faculty members of the Higher School of Economics and Tourism. During the discussion, participants raised questions regarding ensuring the reliability of research results, methods for improving the quality and validity of data, and the requirements for publications in international journals for successful dissertation defense. The seminar was aimed at increasing publication activity, developing research competencies, and improving the quality of scientific publications of university staff and students.
