
NGO «Baiterek»: forming a new generation of researchers
The framework of the Science Decade of the Higher School of Economics and Tourism, the Department of Tourism held a round table entitled «The Bаyterek Student Research Society as a Platform for Developing Youth Scientific Potential: Results of 10 Years and New Goals.»
The event was opened by Adil Tolepov, Deputy Director for Research of the Higher School of Economics and Tourism, PhD, Acting Associate Professor, who warmly welcomed the participants. In his speech, he emphasized that increasing young people’s interest in science, developing students’ research abilities, and supporting scientific initiatives are among the most important priorities in today’s educational environment.
The round table was attended by members of the Bäyterek Student Research Society, the founder of the society, Doctor of Economics, Professor B. Syzdykbayeva, the Head of the Department of Tourism, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor L. Mutaliyeva, as well as the society’s supervisor, Senior Lecturer Z. Temiraliyeva.
During the event, B. Syzdykbayeva spoke about the history and development of the society, while Z. Temiraliyeva presented the goals and objectives of the student research society and delivered a summary report on the work accomplished over the past 10 years.
In addition, Anel Maratqyzy, a first-year student of the Tourism educational program, shared her opinion and personal experience, presenting a student perspective on science.
The round table became an important platform for discussion aimed at increasing students’ scientific activity, fostering a culture of research, and defining the future development directions of the Bаyterek Student Research Society.
