
The role of women in global science and the commercialization of innovations were discussed at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University





















On April 8th, as part of the 30th anniversary of L.N. Gumilyov ENU and the Decade of Science, the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of International Relations hosted a roundtable titled "Women in Science." The event was organized by PhD D.Kopezhanova, Senior Lecturer and coordinator of student scientific work at the department.
During the event, PhD A.Zholdybalina, Associate Professor and Deputy Director for Internal Policy at the KazISS under the President of the RK, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the role of women in science, highlighting global contributors and Nobel laureates.
Head of the Department D.Primbetov warmly welcomed the invited guests: Dr. G. Kutushova, an expert in political science and international relations from Turkey, and Z.Utekova, Head of the Gradient International Research Center Private Foundation. Department scholars, including PhD A. Tursynbek and Candidate of Political Science M.K. Tulebayeva, also actively participated in the discussions.
Undergraduate and graduate students, along with young scientists, showed great interest in the topic and engaged in an open exchange of views. The youth received answers to pressing questions regarding the commercialization of science, career prospects in research, and current challenges in scientific development.
Overall, the meeting served as a strong source of inspiration and motivation for the students. The discussion concluded with plans for future student internships at the represented institutions to foster scientific skills, alongside initiatives to establish bilateral ties and tripartite agreements.
