
ENU Professor Met with Students of School-Lyceum No. 48 Named after Akhmet Baitursynuly







On April 10, 2026, within the framework of Natural Sciences Week and career guidance activities, a meeting was held at School-Lyceum No. 48 named after Akhmet Baitursynuly with 11th-grade students and members of the Geography Club. The guest speaker was Kuat Tabyldinuly Saparov, Professor of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Doctor of Geographical Sciences.
During the meeting, the scholar delivered an engaging talk on the topics “Choosing a Profession as a Guide to the Future” and “Historical and Geographical Toponyms of the Native Land.” He spoke about his academic path, scientific achievements, and current trends in the development of geographical science.
He also emphasized the importance of research work and shared valuable views on nature conservation and the efficient use of natural resources. During the meeting, students asked questions of interest and received thoughtful answers.
The discussion, held in an open and interactive format, increased students’ interest in geography and positively influenced their professional orientation and motivation toward science. Such meetings play an important role in broadening young people’s horizons and strengthening their interest in education.
