A round table «Integrity Platform: Youth and Legal Culture» was held

On April 10, 2026, discussion titled «Integrity Platform: Youth and Legal Culture” was held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The event was organized by the lecturers of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language, L.Baibolat and D.Ilyassova.

Purpose of the event: to develop legal culture among students, promote the values of honesty, fairness, and responsibility, and foster an anti-corruption mindset.

A special guest of the event was Yerkebulan Yerkinuly Nugmanov, Head of the «Adép» Project Council of the university and Candidate of Legal Sciences. In his speech, he emphasized that many young people lack sufficient knowledge of legal norms and often show indifference toward them, which may lead to corruption. He also highlighted the importance of family upbringing in shaping legal awareness and addressed issues such as online fraud, theft, and proper behavior in public places. He called on students to maintain ethical standards, mutual respect, and a respectful attitude toward faculty and staff.

First-year students majoring in Political Science actively contributed to the event. Agitaeva Zhuldyz and Aitmukhamedgali Nursultan moderated the session, while Aligozhina Dayana, Bakdauletova Kuralai, Alkeeva Malika, Kuat Karakat, Rakhimova Gauhar, Kaldarbek Mansur, and Aitymbetova Malika shared their opinions and answered questions.

Additionally, Yerikova Aiaulym, Zhanabay Yersultan, Kali Insar, and Aiteev Alikhan actively participated in situational tasks, discussing the negative impact of corruption on individuals, the economy, and society, supporting their views with examples.

The roundtable was engaging, thought-provoking, and impactful. At the end of the event, senior lecturer Lazat Baiqonyrkyzy delivered a closing speech, expressing gratitude to the invited guest Yerkebulan Nugmanov and the active students.
