
ENU Vice-Rector met with master’s and doctoral students

According to the established tradition, ENU hosted a meeting of the member of the Management Board – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Serik Makysh with master’s and doctoral students enrolled in 2023.

“The student population of postgraduate education is growing. In this regard, doctoral students should be active in publishing, be selective in choosing journals, and the university, for its part, will provide possible support for conducting high-quality scientific research,” Vice-Rector said in his opening speech.
The program of the meeting included presentations by heads of structural divisions providing the educational process for master’s and doctoral programs, followed by a question and answer session.
So, the director of the Department of Digital Development and Distance Learning Gulmira Bekmanova presented the Smart ENU cosystem.
Olga Loshkareva, Head of the Postgraduate Education Department, informed about the organization of scientific internship and approval/re-approval of research topics, supervisors of undergraduates and doctoral consultants, head of the analysis and
Planning Department of Finance Aidos Abdylmanap on the financing of scientific internship and advance report on accountable funds, expert of the Department of Science and Certification of scientific personnel Assel Seipisheva – on the activities of the Dissertation Councils of ENU, publications in rating journals and scientific publications of ENU.
Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation Yermek Konakbayev spoke about academic mobility (the program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erasmus+, etc.)
During the meeting, issues of training master’s and doctoral students were discussed: research activities, publication activity, organization of internships, approval of themes and scientific supervisors.
Such meetings are held at the university on an ongoing basis.
