
A round table meeting "Success stories: Career paths of archaeologists and Ethnologists"

On April 9, 2026, a round table meeting "Success stories: Career paths of archaeologists and Ethnologists" was held at the Faculty of History, organized by the Department of Archeology and Ethnology. The event was attended by the faculty of the Department of Archeology and Ethnology, third and fourth year students, undergraduates. The meeting was moderated by M.K. Khabdulina and T.V. Koshman.

Invited participants of the Round Table, graduates of bachelor's and master's degrees from previous years of the OP "Archeology and Ethnology": Azamat Dukombayev is a graduate of a two-degree master's degree program with Novosibirsk State University, a 2nd-year doctoral student at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU; Zulkhumar Karimbayeva is a graduate of a two-degree master's degree program from the M.K. Ammosov NEFU, a junior researcher at the A.H. Margulan Institute of Archaeology.; Saparova Kamelya is a graduate of the educational program 7M02208 "Archeology and Ethnology", a junior researcher at the Department of Archeology and Ethnography of the Scientific and Methodological Service of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Zhanataev Dias, a graduate of the double–degree master's program from the NEFU named after M.K. Ammosov, addressed the graduates with a video message. Today, he is a graduate student at the Institute of Humanitarian Studies and Problems of Indigenous Peoples of the North of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Each of them shared their history of double-degree education, practical skills of working today, and answered questions from the audience.
During the discussion, the teachers of the department, G.T. Kazenova, D.T. Tleugabulov, spoke, emphasizing the need for master's degree studies and the possibility of obtaining a double degree in cooperation with the NEFU named after M. Ammosov.
