As part of the XX International Scientific Conference "ǴYLYM JÁNE BILIM – 2026", a meeting of the section "Modern International Processes" was held

ASTANA, April 13, 2026 – As part of the XX International Scientific Conference of Students, Master's Students, Doctoral Students and Young Scientists "ǴYLYM JÁNE BILIM – 2026", a meeting of the section "Modern International Processes" (Department of International Relations) was held. The event took place in the main building (room 319).

Chairperson – Head of the Department of International Relations, Senior Lecturer, PhD G.Zh. Kenzhalina. Commission members – Professor, Doctor of Political Sciences R.S. Yelmurzaeva, Professor, Doctor of Historical Sciences A.M. Yesdauletova, Associate Professor, Candidate of Historical Sciences S.M. Nurdavletova. Secretary – Senior Lecturer, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences A.Zh. Turhanova.

Special distinguished guest of the section – T.S. Suleimenov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, statesman of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan after independence, diplomat.

A total of 48 reports were accepted for the section, with 30 participants delivering oral presentations: from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Karagandy National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov, KazUTB named after K. Kulazhanov, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, and the University of Arizona (USA).

Zhubai Aliya Abilzhankyzy – student of the Faculty of International Relations, L.N. Gumilyov ENU, with the report "The Role of International Organizations in the Humanitarian Sphere: Theoretical Foundations, Institutional Mechanisms and Modern Challenges". Scientific supervisor – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer A.Zh. Turhanova.

2nd place
Sadyk Zhantore Bakhtiyaruly – student of the Faculty of International Relations, L.N. Gumilyov ENU, with the report *"Effectiveness of Kazakhstan's Multi-Vector Foreign Policy in the Context of Geopolitical Polarization after 2022: Challenges and Limitations"*. Scientific supervisor – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor G.Ye. Ibragimova.
Sabyrzhanova Meruert Yerikovna – student of the Faculty of International Relations, L.N. Gumilyov ENU, with the report *"Escalation of Arab-Israel Conflict (2023–2026): Regionalization, and the Crisis of International Governance"*. Scientific supervisor – Senior Lecturer I.A. Yesdauletov.

Korganbek Mukhammedrakhim Yerlibekuly – student of the Faculty of International Relations, L.N. Gumilyov ENU, with the report "Cognitive Warfare: Definition, Analysis and Assessment of the Cognitive Resilience of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Context of National Security".
