Representatives of the Department of Translation Theory and Practice of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University delivered presentations at the “SMART-KOSSHY” seminar

On the 30th anniversary of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Professor S.Zh. Tazhibayeva, and PhD N. Zhumay from the Department of Translation Theory and Practice participated in the city seminar “SMART-KOSSHY”: “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Education System”.  The seminar was organized by the Department of Education of Kosshy city under the Akmola Region Education Administration for teachers and students of secondary schools No. 2 and No. 4, in accordance with the department’s career guidance plan. During the seminar, the participants shared their professional experience and delivered presentations. Professor S.Zh. Tazhibayeva presented a lecture entitled “From Linguistics to Generative AI,” while PhD N. Zhumay delivered a presentation on “Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Research”.  Following the seminar, they took part in workshops on various topics, met with school staff and students, and provided detailed information about L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, particularly the “Translation Studies” educational program, including its features at the bachelor’s and master’s levels, fields of study, admission requirements, and necessary documents. At the end of the seminar, questions from young teachers interested in pursuing a master’s degree were addressed.
