
The Future of Artificial Intelligence Discussed at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University

In celebration of the university's 30th anniversary and the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, an international scientific forum titled "Artificial Intelligence: Its Role in the Development of Science and Public Policy" was organized. This platform, where science and technology converge, provided a comprehensive discussion on the strategic importance and ethical dimensions of AI in modern public administration.
Key Focus Areas of the Forum:
- AI Governance: Institutional management of artificial intelligence.
- Ethics and Law: Issues of algorithmic accountability and data protection.
- Digital Transformation: Implementation of new models in public administration.
In addition to representatives from the Parliament and ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the forum was attended by professors from leading global institutions: Henry Jenkins (University of Southern California, USA), Natali Helberger (University of Amsterdam, Netherlands), and Emiliano Treré (Cardiff University, UK). Scholars from Nazarbayev University, Moscow State University, and the University of Valencia also shared their expertise.
The forum concluded with the adoption of a plan to strengthen international partnerships aimed at increasing academic mobility and training qualified specialists in the field of AI.
