SCHOLAR. POET. EDUCATOR: THE LESSON OF A LIFETIME

On April 16, 2026, a meaningful meeting was held at the scientific library with the distinguished poet, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, and member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, Zhanat Askerbekkyzy.

The purpose of the event was to broadly introduce the poet’s work, promote spiritual and moral values among young people, and increase students’ interest in poetry.

The event was moderated by Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Karipbayev Zhanbota.

During the evening, the life path and creative work of Zhanat Askerbekkyzy were presented, and her poems were recited. The Director of the Scientific Library, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Orazaliyev Bakytzhan, delivered a congratulatory speech and presented a commemorative gift to the guest, while library staff member Armanbek Zhakeykhan performed the song “Zhaksy Koru” by Fariza Ongarsynova.

In addition, faculty members and professors of the Department of Kazakh Literature, as well as students, shared their thoughts and demonstrated their creative abilities.

During the discussion, the poet answered students’ questions and shared reflections on her creative journey and sources of inspiration.

As part of the event, a book exhibition dedicated to the poet’s works was organized. At the conclusion of the meeting, Zhanat Askerbekkyzy expressed her gratitude to the library staff and donated her works to the scientific library.
