
Students from different countries took part in a descriptive geometry olympiad at ENU









The VIII International and National Olympiad in “Descriptive Geometry” was held at the Department of Design and Engineering Graphics at L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The event aimed to enhance students’ professional training, develop their creative and analytical abilities, and strengthen international cooperation between higher education institutions.
More than 60 students from various countries took part in the olympiad. Participants included representatives of the Nizami State Pedagogical University (Republic of Uzbekistan), Urgench State University, higher education institutions of the Russian Federation, as well as several universities from Kazakhstan. Among them were KazGASA (Almaty), M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University (Shymkent), universities from Taraz and Kyzylorda, Bolashak University, Kazakh University of Technology and Business, and L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The competition consisted of several stages and included theoretical and practical tasks in descriptive geometry. Participants demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge, strong practical skills, as well as developed spatial and logical thinking abilities.
Based on the results of the olympiad, winners and prize recipients were determined and awarded diplomas and commemorative prizes. The event contributed to the development of academic mobility, exchange of experience between educational institutions, and increased interest in engineering disciplines.
Overall, the olympiad was held at a high organizational level and received positive feedback from participants and team leaders.
