Results of the first stage of the second round of the Republican Subject Olympiad in the educational program “Translation Studies”

On April 17, 2026, the first stage of the second round of the Republican Subject Olympiad among students of higher and postgraduate education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the educational program “Translation Studies” (English section, Russian language) was held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. 

The Olympiad aims to identify and support talented students, develop their professional competencies in written and oral translation, and increase interest in translation activities. 

Representatives of 18 higher and postgraduate education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the first stage of the second round of the Olympiad (Astana, Almaty, Pavlodar, Shymkent, Turkestan, Petropavlosk, Karaganda, Atyrau). 

Within the framework of the first stage, participants completed written translation tasks from Russian into English. Based on the evaluation of the submitted works, the jury determined the results. A total of 34 participants advanced to the next stage of the second round of the Olympiad.

Appeals 
Participants have the right to submit an appeal regarding the results of the first stage until April 17, 2026 (inclusive), by 21:00. Appeals submitted after the установленный deadline will not be considered. 

The review of appeals will take place on April 18 in an offline format from 08:00 to 09:30 in Room 305.
