XVIII Republican subject Olympiad on the educational program 6B02209 – "Oriental Studies" in the sections of Arabic and Chinese studies

On April 17-18, 2026, the XVIII Republican Student subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Educational Program "6B02209 – "Oriental Studies" in the sections of Arabic and Chinese studies was held at the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University.

The purpose of the Olympiad is to reveal creative abilities, select and support the most talented and gifted students; promote the formation of the intellectual potential of students; attract students and young scientists to solve scientific problems of our time; develop interest in scientific activity.

In addition to L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University, 2 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan also took part in the Olympiad: Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.

According to the results of the competition commission, the winners of the Olympiad of the second round in the Arabic studies section were:

III place – Nazimbek Aisulu, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (head: Ilyasova Zibagul Suleimenovna - Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor);

III place - Abdrakhman Aisulu, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (head: Khavan Aydingul, PhD, Senior Lecturer);

II place - Kairatova Ayaulym, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (head: Tuleubayeva Samal Abaevna - Doctor of Philology, acting Professor)

II place - Marat Aruna, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (head: Mammadova Fatima Zilpikarovna - Ph.D., associate Professor);

I place - Seylkanov Nurasyl, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (head: Tuleubayeva Samal Abaevna - Doctor of Philology, acting Professor).

III place - Nurbekuly Nurgis, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (head: Orazakynkyzy Farida - PhD Doctor, Associate Professor); 

II place - Kuanysh Fatima Shakizatkyzy, Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Abylai Khan, (head: PhD, Professor Tolkyn Kalibekuly)

II place - Gaziz Aykhan Ayashuly, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (head: Shaldarbekova A.B. - PhD, lecturer);

1st place - Alimkhanova Dayana Asetovna, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (head: Gulnara Birimkulova - PhD doctors, Acting Associate Professor).

The winners of the XVIII Republican subject student Olympiad on the educational program 6B02209 – "Oriental Studies" in the sections of Arabic and Chinese studies were awarded Diplomas and Letters of Thanks from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
