
As part of the week «Book – a Source of Knowledge», a library evening was held

















At the Scientific Library, a library evening was organized in honor of National Book Day. The event was attended by specially invited guests, university professors, and students.
The hosts of the evening spoke about the significance and importance of the holiday, congratulating the participants on the 30th anniversary of the university and the upcoming National Book Day.
At the opening of the event, the Director of the Scientific Library, Bakhytzhan Assetildaululy, delivered a speech and expressed his best wishes to the gathered guests and the reading community. He noted that reading books broadens a person’s horizons and is an important value that opens the path to spiritual development.
During the event, the winners of the photo contest «KitapTime», organized for the university’s 30th anniversary, were awarded special diplomas. A traditional awards ceremony also took place: authors of textbooks widely used across various faculties were recognized in the «Most Read Book» nomination; active readers who frequently participate in library events and have read a large number of books received awards in the «Best Reader» and «Active Reader» categories; and readers who donated valuable books to the library’s collection were recognized in the «Valuable Gift» nomination.
During the evening, talented students presented creative performances: M. Kulakhmetova performed the song «Beu Aydai», and F. Toleukhan played a melodious song on the dombra. The «Shabyt» ensemble from the «Onerpaz» arts center of School-Gymnasium No. 52 performed several kyuis, leaving a special impression on the guests.
Afterwards, readers took part in a discussion of D. Isabekov’s work «Gauhartas» and met with entrepreneur and founder of the publishing house «Qasym», Erlan Ashim. Various competitions, quizzes, games, and a library lottery were also organized in the library halls, with prizes awarded to the winners.
The library evening was meaningful and took place in a lively and festive atmosphere.
