second place in the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad on the educational program "Computing machinery and software",

Students of the Department of Computer and Software Engineering of the Institute of Digital Sciences and Artificial Intelligence of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU took the second place in the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad on the educational program "Computing Machinery and Software", which was held from April 20 to 22, 2026 on the basis of the Kazakh-British Technical University (Almaty).

The Olympiad was held under the educational program "Computing and Software Engineering" and included assignments in key disciplines: algorithms and data structures, object-oriented programming and databases.

According to the results of the individual competition, student Rinat Tursynbekovich Turumov took the second place and was awarded a diploma. Nurmagambetov Alizhan Talgatovich and Soldatenko Kirill Vladimirovich also demonstrated decent results, confirming the high level of training and knowledge.

In the team competition, our team took the second place, demonstrating the high level of training of students and their competitiveness at the national level.

The team was trained under the guidance of Makpal Galymbekovna Zhartybayeva and Yerlan Kadyrovich Dosumbekov with the active participation of teachers of the KPI department.
