
Associate Professor A.R. Mandykaeva of the Department of Psychology delivered a presentation at the plenary session of the National Scientific and Practical Conference.



At the National Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic «Developing Critical Thinking and Emotional Intelligence in Pupils in the Context of the Modern Rural School: Theory, Practice, results», organised by the Educational and Methodological Centre of the Education Department of the Zhambyl Region, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology at the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Candidate of Psychological Sciences A.R. Mandykaeva, delivered a presentation at the plenary session (held online) on the topic ‘The level of emotional intelligence among schoolchildren and its link to academic motivation’. The aim of the conference was to foster a culture of research and leadership skills among headteachers of rural schools and school psychologists. During the conference, participants exchanged experiences regarding effective methods for developing pupils’ critical thinking and emotional intelligence within the context of general education schools; topical issues were discussed and potential solutions explored. Some participants, including managers and psychologists, expressed their intention to enrol on the Master’s and PhD programmes in the «Psychology» course at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
