«Kingdom of Books» — a literary and educational evening

A literary and educational evening titled “Kingdom of Books” was held at the scientific library, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university, as well as National Book Day and Librarians’ Day.
The main goal of the event was to promote a reading culture, enhance the significance of the national holiday, and highlight the professional work of librarians.
The evening was opened by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Zhanna Nurmanova and Meyram Kikimbaev, Deputy Director of the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences. They congratulated the audience on the occasion and emphasized the role of books and library work in society. Deputy Director of the scientific library Yerzhan Nurzhanov and veteran librarian Aigul Kalkuzova also delivered congratulatory speeches, wishing their colleagues continued success in their professional activities.
Students of the Faculty of History — members of the “Tagylym” research group and the “Booken Club” youth organization — presented a theatrical performance titled “The National Intelligentsia and the History of National Books,” vividly portraying the struggle of the Alash figures for textbooks in the Kazakh language. Library staff Kyndyz Naimanbayeva and Marzhan Abyt offered a poetic tribute to their colleagues. The university’s creative team, including the E-Studio singers, performed songs, while young kuishi Azamat and Yerdaulat played several traditional kuy pieces, showcasing the richness of national art. In the poetry section, a 6th-grade student of Karaotkel Secondary School, Tolendy Asylai Serikkizi, impressed the audience with her performance. Young poetry enthusiasts Aisana Kuanysh, Tansholpan Amantai, Gulbanu Shaikhibek, and Gabit Malikov выразительно read works by Kazakh poets.
At the end of the event, participants took part in the “Book Donation Campaign” as well as in the literary and intellectual games “Mysterious World” and “Secrets of Letters”. The evening concluded with a melodious song performed by library specialist Tolganai Telibayeva.
