ENU Students Achieve Outstanding Results at the Republican Hydrology Olympiad

On April 24, 2026, the XVIII Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the educational program “6B05210 – Hydrology” was held online at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

A total of 12 students from ENU and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University participated as part of four teams. The Olympiad consisted of three rounds: theoretical, practical, and project-based. In the final stage, participants presented projects on “Smart Water Governance: digital and intelligent technologies in the water sector.”

According to the team results, the first-degree diploma was awarded to the ENU team “HydroSmart” (Tasheva Yerke Aidosovna, Yerkinаly Aikorkem Kairatkyzy, Torbayeva Aruzhan Ualikhanovna) under the supervision of PhD, Acting Associate Professor Toxanbayeva Sabina Tursynovna. The second place was taken by the “Glyacio” team of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and the third place by the  KazNU team “Springs.”

In the individual ranking, the first-degree diploma was awarded to ENU student Tasheva Yerke Aidosovna, the second-degree diploma to KazNU student Bakhyt Zhanyia Zhomartkyzy, and the third-degree diploma to ENU student Yerkinаly Aikorkem Kairatkyzy.

The results of the Olympiad demonstrated the high academic level of the participants and their ability to address modern challenges in hydrology.
