XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad in the Educational Program 6V02203 – «History»

The XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad among university students in the educational program 6V02203 – History was organized by the Department of History of Kazakhstan on the basis of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University. This event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University.

In 2025, at the XVII Republican Student Subject Olympiad at Toraygyrov University, the Kultegin team, formed at the Department of History of Kazakhstan, took first place and earned the right to host the XVIII Republican Student Subject Olympiad at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in 2026.

Speaking at the opening of the subject Olympiad, Kashkhynbay Bayzhuman Baltabayevich, a member of the Board and Director of the Department of Academic Affairs at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, wished the participants good luck. The Dean of the Faculty of History, O.Zh. Bekmaganbetov, encouraged the young people to showcase their deep knowledge.

Students from fourteen universities in Kazakhstan participated in this Olympiad. The participating teams from different regions of the country demonstrated their knowledge and creativity in a comprehensive manner. In the first round, called "Greeting", the teams explained their slogans and logos, and told about the achievements of the university and the faculty. In the second round, dedicated to the homework, the teams defended a scientific project on the topic "Historical Heritage and Personalization in the Study of National History". In the third round, the competition of captains, the levels of knowledge of the team leaders were analyzed The competition was evaluated by the jury, which included professors of the department, doctors of historical sciences M.A. Alpysbes, Z.O. Dukenbayeva, and G.T. Musabalina. The chairman of the commission was Professor K.Zh. Nurbay, a doctor of historical sciences from the S. Seifullin Agricultural Research University

The "Farabi" team from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was awarded a first-degree diploma; the "Kultegin" team from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and the "Ertis generation" team from Toraygyrov University were awarded a second-degree diploma; and the "Zhubanovshylar" team from K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University, the "Alash qyrandary" team from Alikhan Bokeikhan University, and the "Yesil" team from Astana International University were awarded a third-degree diploma.

In general, all participants were awarded letters of gratitude and certificates, valuable gifts.
