
ENU Students Become Prize Winners of the Republican Hackathon CyberShield-2026









Students of the Institute of Digital Sciences and Artificial Intelligence at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University became prize winners (2nd and 3rd places) at the republican hackathon CyberShield-2026, held at Kozybayev University.
The hackathon was organized jointly with the Department of Economic Investigations of North Kazakhstan Region as part of the implementation of the “Law and Order” principle.
A total of 57 teams from 13 universities across Kazakhstan participated in the competition.
Hackathon prize fund:
2nd place — 500,000 ₸
3rd place — 300,000 ₸
2nd place — Team Van Gogh (AI Agro Analytics)
In the AI Agro Analytics category, 2nd place was awarded to Team Van Gogh from the Department of Artificial Intelligence, consisting of:

The students presented the AgroSmart KZ project aimed at detecting fraud in agricultural subsidies using artificial intelligence technologies.
3rd place — Team Ramira (AI Against Crypto Risks)
In the AI Against Crypto Risks category, 3rd place was awarded to ENU’s Team Ramira, consisting of:

The team’s project is aimed at detecting fraud and analyzing risks in the field of digital assets and transactions. The solution uses artificial intelligence methods to monitor suspicious activities, analyze transactions, and detect anomalies, thereby contributing to the enhancement of digital economy security.
The scientific supervisor of the teams was Makpal Zhartybayeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer and Software Engineering.
Participation in the hackathon allowed the students to demonstrate a high level of professional training, apply their knowledge in practice, and propose solutions to актуal challenges in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital security.
