ENU Students Win a Prize at the Republican Chemistry Olympiad

On April 28–29, 2026, the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad among students in the educational program group «6B053 – Chemistry» was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty).

12 teams from leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the intellectual competition. L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University was represented by two teams – «Chemtrail» and «Adamantan», supervised by PhD, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry Tashenov Yerbolat Ordabekovich and Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Professor Mashan Togzhan Turgalikyzy.

Based on the results of two rounds (theoretical and experimental), the «Adamantan» team demonstrated a high level of preparation and won an honorable 2nd place.

The Olympiad included solving complex theoretical problems and performing experimental tasks in the laboratories of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, allowing participants to demonstrate both fundamental knowledge and practical skills.

Participation in such events contributes to the development of students' professional competencies, exchange of experience, and strengthening of interuniversity cooperation.
