More than 400 ENU graduates took the military oath

A solemn ceremony of taking the military oath by graduates of the Military Training Department was held at The L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The event was timed to coincide with Defender of the Fatherland Day, Victory Day, and ENU’s 30th anniversary.
More than 400 graduates of the ENU Military Training Department took the oath of allegiance to the Motherland. The ceremony was attended by ENU Rector Yerlan Sydykov, vice-rectors, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, veterans of the Armed Forces, as well as parents and invited guests.
Head of the Military Training Department, General Yedil Urazov, noted that this day is becoming an important milestone in the lives of young people.
"Today is a special and responsible day for you. The military oath is not just a formality, it is a recognition of a sacred duty to the Motherland. The knowledge gained at the Military Training Department of the Eurasian National University has become a solid foundation not only for professional development, but also for the formation of your civic position. You are the future of our country, the pillar of independence.
Modern challenges require high responsibility and readiness from every citizen. Your knowledge, discipline and patriotic spirit are the key to Kazakhstan's security and stability.
By taking the military oath, you join the ranks of the true defenders of the Fatherland. I wish you to carry this title with honor and work for the benefit of the development and prosperity of Kazakhstan!", the General emphasized.
The parents of the graduates also shared their impressions.
"Today is a special, joyful and at the same time exciting day for us. The military oath of our children is a great pride for every family.
We express our sincere gratitude to the university staff and the teachers of the Military Training Department for the knowledge and education they gave our children. This result is the result of their hard work and the perseverance of the graduates themselves.
We know that ENU always strives to train comprehensively developed and competitive specialists. The Military Training Department is an important part of this system. We are confident that the knowledge and skills gained here will open up new opportunities for them.
The peace and security of our country are in the safe hands of such educated and patriotic young people. Congratulations to everyone on taking the military oath and we wish you success in your life," graduate Dilnaz Kozhanova’s mother, lawyer Aida Zhankarakovna, said on behalf of the parents.
Within the framework of the event, armored vehicles of domestic production of the Besqaru plant – TAIMAS, AIBAR and other wheeled armored vehicles were presented. Demonstrations also took place: the actions of an intelligence group using TAIMAS combat vehicles, a fashion show of the honor guard company of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee, as well as a demonstration of elements of hand-to-hand combat by military personnel of the Special Operations Forces of the Ministry of Defense.
"The solemn ceremony began with the removal of the banner group of the honor guard company of the National Security Committee Border Guard Service. The unity of a country is measured by its flag. Unity under one banner is the foundation of the stability of the state. Our ancestors fought to the last breath to ensure that the flag was not defeated. The national flag is a symbol of love for the Motherland and the willingness of current recruits to give their lives for it," Colonel Atygai Balgabekov said.
According to the organizers, the event is aimed at forming a patriotic spirit among young people, strengthening military traditions and improving the level of professional training of students.
"Today is a special and unforgettable day for us. Taking the military oath is the beginning of a great responsibility. The knowledge and military training we received at the university shaped us not only as specialists, but also as citizens who are ready to defend their country.
We are grateful to our teachers, officers of the military department and parents for their support and faith in us. Today we are ready to honorably fulfill our duty to the Motherland and serve for the benefit of its security," graduate Merey Sarkytov said.
Graduates of the Military Training Department are awarded the rank of "reserve lieutenant" upon graduation, which allows them to combine the civilian profession with military training and, if necessary, serve in law enforcement agencies.
The event ended with a festive program with the participation of creative teams: the ensemble "Ulttyk Ulan" and the dance group "Samuryk".
