
The student of the Faculty of History became the winner at the international student project competition

The IX student project competition, organized by the BiZ Institute of Ethnocultural Education, dedicated to research on the migration of Russian Germans in the XVIII–XXI centuries, has ended in Moscow. Applications were accepted in February 2026, and the finalists had the opportunity to defend their projects at the Russian-German House in Moscow. The final stage of the competition, which this year was devoted to various aspects of the migration of Russian Germans in the XVIII-XXI centuries, was attended by 10 researchers in offline and online formats.

The first place was awarded to the 2nd year student of the educational program "Archeology, Ethnology and anthropology" Arsen Erman. The topic of his project is "The German population of Northern Kazakhstan: a historical overview and statistical analysis." The scientific supervisor is Tatiana Vasilyevna Koshman, Senior lecturer at the Department of Archeology and Ethnology.

Erman A. has been studying the history of Germans in Kazakhstan for two years and has a number of publications in the materials of national and international conferences.
