
A new Chairman of the Youth Center was elected at ENU

At L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, elections were held for the position of Chairman of the Youth Center for the 2026–2027 academic year. Ertai Kumarbek, a student of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, won the election with 263 votes.
A total of 10 applications were submitted for the position of Youth Center Chairman. Following three stages of selection, three candidates advanced to the final round.
Ertai Kumarbek competed against Niyaz Kairzhan, a student of the Faculty of Law, who received 203 votes, and Medina Zadiy, a student of the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences, who received 152 votes.
Each finalist demonstrated a high level of preparation, an active civic position, and a strong desire to contribute to the development of the university’s student environment.
The election campaign was organized to effectively implement the university’s youth policy, develop student self-governance, and increase students’ public engagement.
The elections became an important platform for students to demonstrate leadership qualities, initiative, and civic responsibility. Today, young people play a key role in shaping the intellectual and innovative potential of society. Therefore, supporting their ideas and involving them in public life remain priority areas of the university’s activities.
The electoral process was conducted in accordance with the approved Regulations and was based on the principles of openness, fairness, and academic integrity. During the campaign, the candidates presented their election programs, voiced their initiatives, and shared their vision for the further development of the student community.
