
ENU delegation participated in the UN Sustainable Development Goals International Forum in Istanbul

From 27 to 30 April 2026, an international forum dedicated to promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), advancing international academic cooperation, and strengthening youth engagement in the global sustainability agenda was held in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The forum brought together representatives of universities, international organizations, and youth communities, serving as a platform for experience sharing, discussion of key global challenges, and exploration of joint solutions in education, sustainability, and social responsibility.
A delegation from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University took part in the event. The delegation included Zhambyl Tilep, Director of the Department of Social and Civic Development, Bella Bokova, Chief Specialist of the Center for Sustainable Development, Zhadyra Amanzhol, Chief specialist of the Marketing and Alumni Relations Office, as well as active students and representatives of the university’s student self-government bodies, including members of the Student Parliament, the ENU Student Alliance, and the academic Council of Group Leaders.
During the forum, ENU representatives participated in panel sessions and thematic discussions focused on the implementation of the UN SDGs, development of inter-university partnerships, expansion of academic cooperation, and student involvement in international initiatives.
The meetings also addressed opportunities for strengthening partnerships with foreign universities and organizations, including joint educational and research projects, academic mobility programs, and initiatives in the field of sustainable development and youth leadership.
As a result of participation, the ENU delegation was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the organizers for its active involvement and contribution to the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Participation in the forum marked an important step in strengthening the university’s international relations and expanding cooperation within the global UN agenda.
