
ENU Professor Rakhmetkazy Bersimbay awarded scholarships to learners of one of the capital’s lyceums

Akhmet Baitursynov School-Lyceum No. 48 held a traditional meeting with Academician of NAS RK, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of The L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University Rakhmetkazy Bersimbay on the topic “Success in Science: Work, Search and Perseverance.” The event has become a vibrant platform for an open dialogue between scientists and schoolchildren interested in science and modern research.
Professor Martin Schnittler, Director of the Institute of Botany and Landscape Ecology at the University of Greifswald (Germany), as well as ENU Professors R.Tatayeva, Zh. Mukatayeva, N. Shapekova, associate professors Zh. Bazarbayeva, G. Toksobayeva, G. Nurmukhambetova, G. Ainagulova R. attended the event as special guest. They got acquainted with the exhibition of scientific projects of school learners and highly appreciated their research potential.
The school headmaster, Nurila Kiyakbai, made a welcoming speech, expressing gratitude to Rakhmetkazy Bersimbay for his many years of support and annual meetings held in the scientist’s named classroom. During the free discussion, students actively asked questions about biology, medicine, and scientific activities, shared their views, and received valuable advice from renowned scientists.
A special moment of the event was the awarding of schoolchildren who achieved high results in the natural science field. The best learners were awarded a special academic scholarship.
In the second part of the meeting, organized by ENU Professor Nelya Shapekova, within the framework of the national program "Taza Kazakhstan", an oak acorn planting ceremony took place, symbolizing the desire of the younger generation to preserve nature and sustainable future.
The event ended with creative performances by talented students of the school – Nurkhan Nurzhanuly and Daurenbek Dildabek, who presented the guests with wonderful musical performances and created a warm atmosphere of science and education celebration.
